SAFETY

At Peace & Love we consider the safety of our visitors a priority! During the festival we have various security and safety staff working. We have around 75 security guards, around 40 medical staff and roughly 500 safety volunteers working to help keep you safe.

Apart from this Peace & Love obviously has a well-developed and close collaboration with the local police, local fire brigade, local councils, social services and other emergency services.

Those of us that work with safety at the festival wear a t-shirt with the word Safety written on it. You will meet us at the entrances to the festival site and the different campsites, inside the festival site and in front of the stages. We are there to help you and help insure that you have the best experience possible without being injured. Safety personnel and security guards are all available at all times at the campsite and at the festival site during its open hours.

Some good advice concerning your safety at a concert:
1) If you are an inexperienced concertgoer, keep to the back or to the sides of the stage.
2) If you start to feel nauseus or feel unpleasant – try to move to the back or the sides.
3) Stay with your friends, help eachother and help anyone else that is in need.
4) Use earplugs – you will need your hearing after the gigs as well.
5) Drink plenty of water before the concert. It’s easy to get dehydrated or overheated in a crowd.
6) Umbrellas are not allowed. Bring rain clothes instead.

General advice for your safety:
1) Don’t be afraid to ask questions – the staff and volunteers are here for you.
2) Make every other drink water.
3) Stay with your friends and choose to go where others are going.
4) Don’t keep valuables in your tent! A little padlock won’t keep the thief out.
5) Remember that it is illegal in Sweden to set foot on the railway. Also, if you are caught treading on the railway you will be fined 1000 SEK.

See you around!
