CAMPING

General campsite information
Peace & Love’s festival campsites are available only to those who have bought a festival ticket WITH CAMPING INCLUDED. Camping is not included in the day tickets, neither is it included in the festival ticket without camping.

The campsites are situated within walking distance from the train/bus station in Borlänge. When you reach the camping, after having switched your festival ticket to a festival bracelet, our staff will show you a spot where you may put your tent up.

There are 3 different campsites at the Peace & Love festival; the “Regular” Campsite, the Quiet Campsite and the Quiet Campsite Deluxe. When you buy your festival ticket with camping included, you have to choose which campsite you want to stay at.

Showers, storage for valuables and mobile charging stations are available to all campers for a small fee. You will also find food and snack stands where you can buy yourself something to eat.

It is a good idea to bring a tent, a foam mattress and a sleeping bag to Peace & Love, as the nights can be chilly.

Age restrictions
Camping is restricted to people over 16 years of age, which means you must be at least 16 years old to enter the camp site. Festival visitors under 16 may stay at the camping accompanied by a parent. Remember to bring your ID for entrance! Peace & Love has the right to deny those without ID access to the campsite, even if they have a valid ticket.

Quiet Campsite
To stay at the Quiet Campsite it is required that you have bought a festival pass that includes Quiet Camping. The Quiet Camp is for those of you who wants some peace and quiet once the concerts are done for the night, cares about the environment around your tent and who wants to stay in a calmer area of the festival.

Those who are staying at the Quiet Campsite also have access to the regular campsite to be able to use the service functions, such as food stands. Although you are only allowed to make camp and sleep in the campsite to which you have bought your ticket.

At the Quiet Campsite…

… it is quiet when the concerts have finished for the day.
…  you can experience everything the Peace & Love has to offer at the same time as you can get a good night’s sleep
… we take Clean Town a step further. The festival will have better cleaning routines at the Quiet Campsite and also wishes that you who live here will help out by making sure that all of the rubbish is thrown away. There will also be higher standards expected of those living here regarding the cleanliness of the campsite.

Quiet Campsite Deluxe
To stay at the Quiet Campsite Deluxe you will have to have bought a festival ticket that includes Quiet Campsite Deluxe.

Quiet Campsite Deluxe contains the same benefits and obligations as the Quiet Campsite (see rules and information above).

However, here you can also enjoy free showers, free water toilets (no need for Portaloos here) and free charging of your mobile phone. This campsite is also the one that is closest to the festival.

Those who are staying at the Quiet Campsite Deluxe also have access to the regular campsite to be able to use the service functions, such as food stands. Although you are only allowed to make camp and sleep in the campsite to which you have bought your ticket.

Campsite rules
Body and luggage search
To access the camping area you must go through a body and luggage/bag search by our volunteers. This is for your own and everyone else’s safety. The following items are, among others, not allowed at the campsite for safety reasons
Glass bottles and other glass items, which also includes for example perfume bottles
Party tents or other tents not intended for sleeping in – this rule exists to prevent lack of space for those arriving after you

Valuables
The simplest way of avoiding being burgled by a thief is to completely avoid leaving valuables in your tent. Storage for valuables is available to all campers for a small fee.

Where at the campsite can I put my tent?
The campsite is divided into blocks with fire exit paths between them. Your tent can be put up in these blocks where space permits and you CANNOT put your tent up in the fire exit paths. Those who arrive first at the campsite will get their spots closest to the entrance.

Where can I cook?
Fire with an open flame cannot occur at Peace & Love, this also includes tea lights and other candles. However you are of course welcome to cook in a camping kitchen or with/on a disposable barbeque. Cooking should take place in the designated cooking area, a gravelled area (see campsite map). All flammable liquids are forbidden at the campsite, with the exception of liquids usable only for cooking at the camping kitchen. Remember that you are personally responsible for extinguishing the fire/barbeque etc before you leave. Remember to clean up before you go!
